Read your tax summary

Open Tax and choose the tax year. Categorized expenses land on their Schedule C line automatically, with what was spent, the percent allowed and the deductible amount. Download PDF and Download CSV give you a copy.

• Left out of the table shows spending in a category with no tax line. Give the category a line under Settings, Categories.
• Mileage shows the standard mileage figure. That rate replaces actual vehicle costs for the same vehicle, so a preparer uses one or the other.
• A banner tells you if expenses are not confirmed yet, or have no exchange rate and so are not in the figures.

This is a summary to hand to your tax preparer. It is not tax advice and not a filed return. The year follows the fiscal year you set under Settings, General.
